BATHROOM RENOVATION SERVICES

Everything needed to renovate your bathroom.

Bathroom renovations can involve plumbing, drainage, waterproofing, tiling, electrical work, sanitaryware and building alterations. Dial-a-Contractor can bring the different parts of the job together rather than leaving you to arrange every trade separately.

LAYOUT

Bathroom alterations

Change the layout, move fixtures, alter walls or reconfigure the space to suit the new bathroom.

PLUMBING

Water & drainage

Plumbing for basins, toilets, showers, baths and other bathroom fixtures, including changes to water and drainage points where required.

WATERPROOFING

Wet-area waterproofing

Waterproofing to appropriate wet areas before tiling and final finishes are installed.

FINISHES

Tiling & final finishes

Wall and floor tiling, ceilings, painting, sanitaryware, fittings and finishing work to complete the room.

COMPLETE OR PARTIAL BATHROOM UPGRADES

The whole bathroom does not always need to be replaced.

Some bathrooms need to be stripped out and rebuilt completely. Others may only need a new shower, sanitaryware, tiling, plumbing changes or a general refresh.

Complete renovation

Strip out the existing bathroom and rebuild it around a new layout, fixtures, plumbing and finishes.

Shower upgrades

Replace or create shower areas with the associated drainage, waterproofing, tiling and fittings.

Sanitaryware replacement

Replace toilets, basins, baths, taps and other bathroom fittings where the existing layout remains largely unchanged.

Bathroom refresh

Tiling, painting, fittings, repairs and smaller improvements to update an existing bathroom.

WHAT SITS BEHIND THE TILES

A good bathroom renovation is about more than the finishes.

Plumbing, drainage, waterproofing, floor levels and electrical requirements all need to be dealt with before the room is tiled and closed up.

Plumbing positions

Moving a toilet, shower, bath or basin can require changes to water and drainage connections.

Shower drainage

Shower levels and drainage need to work properly so water can move towards the outlet as intended.

Waterproofing

Wet-area protection should be addressed before tiles and finishes conceal the underlying surfaces.

Electrical work

Lighting, extraction and electrical fittings should suit the new bathroom layout and applicable electrical requirements.

HOMEOWNER QUESTIONS

Common questions before renovating a bathroom.

Can I change the bathroom layout?

Often yes. Moving fixtures may require changes to plumbing, drainage, waterproofing and floor levels, so it is best to look at the complete layout before work starts.

Do you do the waterproofing?

Waterproofing can form part of the bathroom renovation where it is required for the wet areas being worked on.

Can I supply my own tiles and sanitaryware?

Yes. If you already have tiles, taps, sanitaryware or other fittings, we can take those into account when planning the work.

What if damage is found after strip-out?

Hidden leaks, damaged surfaces or other problems can sometimes become visible only after the old bathroom has been removed. Any additional work should be discussed before it proceeds.
