What is Dial a Contractor's lead generation service?

A: Dial a Contractor is a platform that connects skilled contractors with property owners seeking professional services. We provide real-time, high-quality leads tailored to your expertise, enabling you to grow your business efficiently.​


How does the lead generation process work?

A: The process is straightforward:

  • Sign Up & Verification: Register on our platform and complete the verification process to ensure quality and trust.​

  • Receive Leads: Once verified, you can visit the lead generation page to find leads that you are interested in. This page is updated throughout the day on an hourly basis.

  • Claim Leads: Leads are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of five contractors able to claim each lead.​

  • Connect with Clients: After claiming a lead, you'll receive the client's contact details to discuss project specifics and provide quotes.​



What are the costs associated with purchasing leads?

A: Our pricing is simple and transparent:

  • Plumbing, Electrical, and Handyman Leads: R75 per lead.​

  • Construction and Architectural Leads: R95 per lead.​

  • This fixed-fee structure replaces our previous commission-based system, allowing you to retain all your earnings from each project.​


What are on sale leads?

  • After being listed for 48 hours, the price of the leads is, on average, reduced by 21%.

  • After an additional 48 hours, all leads are reduced to R25.

  • Obviously, the sooner you contact a customer, the better your chance of securing the work. The saying goes, "you snooze, you lose," so we encourage you to purchase the leads sooner rather than later.


How do I pay for and access leads?

A: After selecting a lead, proceed to checkout and complete the payment. Once the payment is confirmed, you will gain immediate access to the client's contact information through a download. It is up to you to make contact with the customer. The sooner you reach out to them, the better your chances are of securing the work.


Are there any additional fees beyond the lead purchase price?

A: No, there are no additional fees. The lead purchase price is all you pay, enabling you to keep 100% of your earnings from the projects you secure.​



What happens if I select a lead but don't complete the purchase?

A: Leads are only secured upon payment. If you add a lead to your cart but don't finalize the purchase, it remains available to other contractors. To ensure you don't miss out, complete the payment promptly.​


How many contractors can claim a single lead?

A: Each lead can be claimed by up to five contractors. This limited distribution increases your chances of securing the project while providing clients with multiple options.​


How do I maximize my success with the leads I purchase?

A: To enhance your success:

  • Prompt Response: Contact clients as soon as you claim a lead to demonstrate professionalism and eagerness.​

  • Competitive Pricing: Offer fair and transparent quotes to build trust.​

  • Quality Service: Deliver exceptional work to encourage repeat business and referrals.​



How do I update my contact information or service offerings?

A: Speak to the office via phone or email to update your details. Keeping your profile current ensures you receive the most suitable leads.​

Why did Dial a Contractor switch from a commission-based system to a fixed lead fee?

A: We transitioned to a fixed lead fee to simplify the process and provide cost certainty for our contractors. This change eliminates variable commission costs, allowing you to retain more of your earnings.​


How does this new pricing model benefit contractors?

A: The new model offers several advantages:

  • Cost Predictability: Know your expenses upfront with fixed lead fees.​

  • Higher Earnings Retention: Keep 100% of your project earnings without commission deductions.​

  • Simplified Process: Streamlined transactions with no post-project commission calculations.​


Do existing contracts under the old system need to be updated?

A: Yes, all contractors are now working under the new fixed-fee structure. Any portion of your previous contract related to commissions is no longer applicable and has been replaced by the fixed-fee system. If you have any questions regarding your contract, please reach out to our support team.
